The Council on Aging is a town department which assists seniors (older adults) and caregivers with issues of aging including, but not limited to: housing including assisted living, nursing homes, senior housing; health insurance; legal issues; home help; Elder Ed.; Elderhostel; fuel assistance; transportation for elderly and disabled; Meals-on-Wheels; congregate meals; outreach visits; information and referral; Senior Center programs including bridge, computer classes, crafts and art classes; tax assistance; support groups; senior trips (day and overnight); Wayland Senior Club; Golden Tones (a senior co-ed chorus); Senior property tax work-off program. Non-profit.
